Lately I've been strongly contemplating, even planning, a portrait/editorial/lifestyle leg to my photography business. Admittedly I haven't been as busy as I would like to -or at least think I would like to- recently, and this allows time for me to start asking questions, doubting, figuring, and some more stuff. I can go deep into the recesses of my mind and share my thoughts and all of my potentially right, or potentially wrong conclusions, but I will keep them in my head for now.
I could have easily named this post "Friends." That's what these four ladies are. From spending time with them on Christine and Jake's wedding day, I felt a warmth and truth to their friendship. And how could she not have a warm quiver of friends around her? Ever since I documented her wedding in 2013, she has been nothing but warm, friendly, and a big supporter to me.
I post this image not because of some super background or composition, and not because of of some IG poses and awe inspiring details and ornaments glorifying the wedding venue, but because of the awe inspiring and true-to-self gestures on the faces of these friends that adorn a moment, and glorify a captured history.
I'm not sure what changes may come to my photography business, but whatever comes, and whatever path I choose, may it not come at the expense of capturing moments like these.
