The truth is that I don't meet some of my clients in person, or hear the sound of their voice until the actual day of the wedding! Most conversations take place in email. When I arrive on a wedding day, I say my hellos with a smile, say something I genuinely feel, and get to work! So I was delighted that just a few days prior to the wedding, I was able to speak with Antoinette and William on the phone for a small chat. Consequently, I went into the wedding event feeling a greater sense of camaraderie and comfort than I usually do, not just because of the phone conversation, but also because I was able to get a sense of the kindness and warmth of this couple.
Antoinette and William are a very handsome and inviting pair, and they both were on board with my documentary/candid style of wedding photography - so much so that there were no formal portraits whatsoever. There were a few shots of Antoinette in her dress, but I don't think that I can classify those as formal portraits either! <insert my smile, and delight here>
The couple, the wedding, and the day were all very beautiful and memorable, and it is my hope that Antoinette and William will find my documentation of their wedding day nothing less than the same.
