Love. And community.
documentary wedding photography
I loved reliving these moments of Jenn and James’ wedding. Most times, in the busy season, I hardly get a chance to enjoy the work I’ve produced, let alone sit with it long enough to get a deeper judgment of it. So when I finally got the chance to start working on this blog, I found myself smiling and laughing through some of the moments that I remembered.
Sometimes I come back to work that I haven’t looked at in some time, and thankfully I’m impressed by the compositions and moments I’ve captured. Like wow, I did that?!! That’s a great feeling to have. But I really enjoy when I go over a wedding of clients with whom I’ve developed a deeper attachment. When I capture them living in their moment, it becomes more than just a couple smiling and having a good time, but something that I can feel. For me it possesses a deeper level of caring than the standard “I hope they like the images” sentiment that I feel for all of my clients. I’m moved to truly being happy for them. Such is the case for Jenn and James.
